The best Speaker's Cut alternatives, with real prices

Speaker's Cut has been making speaker demo reels for about 15 years, and it can film you, edit what you have, or both. People look for alternatives when they want a published price, a stated turnaround, or a studio that will work with footage that is not a professionally recorded keynote.

The options

Ranked for a working speaker who wants a reel that gets them shortlisted. Our entry is first, with its drawbacks.

  1. 1.Hop On Stagesours

Best for: Speakers who want a known price and timeline before they start, plus optional booking outreach

Pricing: $3,000 flat per reel, 50% to begin, 50% on completion

We edit story-first reels from the footage you already have for $3,000 flat, 50% to begin, 50% on completion, usually in 2 to 3 weeks. We work with whatever you have: keynote recordings, event clips, interviews, podcast video, testimonials. Within 24 hours of receiving it we tell you what we can build. If you want help getting booked afterwards, our separate outreach program pitches you to event organizers.

    What works

    • One flat $3,000 for a 2 to 5 minute story reel, whatever the length the story needs
    • We review all the footage you send; no per-tier footage caps
    • Sound design, color, motion graphics, a vertical social cut and two rounds of revisions included
    • Optional done-for-you booking outreach that leads with your new reel

    Watch out for

    • Filming is custom-quoted, not a published package: we film or book a local crew when you need new footage, priced on top of the flat edit
    • Turnaround is 2 to 3 weeks, depending on the queue, so it is not the fastest option
    • No cheaper short-reel tier: a 60 to 90 second reel costs the same flat price
    • Booking outreach is a separate engagement, quoted separately
  2. 2.Speaker Sizzle Reel

Best for: Speakers who want published tiers and delivery in about a week

    Pricing: Essential Reel $1,500 (60 to 90 seconds); Signature Reel $2,950 (2 to 3 minutes, 60-second social cut); Premium Story Reel $5,000 (3 to 4 minutes). Add-ons include 48-hour rush $300, extra social cut $197, topic trailer $597 (checked October 21, 2026)

Speaker Sizzle Reel is edit-only and publishes everything: $1,500 for 60 to 90 seconds, $2,950 for 2 to 3 minutes, $5,000 for 3 to 4 minutes, delivered in 5, 7 or 10 business days. Each tier caps the footage it reviews.

    What works

    • Transparent, published tiers
    • Fast turnaround (5 to 10 business days)
    • Cheapest specialist entry point at $1,500 for a 60 to 90 second reel

    Watch out for

    • A 2 to 3 minute reel is the $2,950 tier; 3 to 4 minutes is $5,000
    • Footage limits per tier (for example up to 60 minutes of footage on Essential)
    • No booking or outreach service published
  3. 3.Motivational Media

Best for: Speakers who want filming and editing at published prices

Pricing: Speaker Reel Package $3,500 flat (2:00 to 2:30 reel, 60 to 90 second sizzle, 3 to 5 vertical cuts); Keynote Filming $2,500 flat with travel included; "Zero footage to a finished reel? $6,000 all in" (checked October 21, 2026)

If what you like about Speaker's Cut is that it can film you, Motivational Media offers the same with prices on the page: $2,500 to film a keynote (travel included), $3,500 for the reel package, $6,000 all in. Delivery is 4 to 6 weeks from your final upload.

    What works

    • Transparent flat pricing, with filming travel included
    • Package includes a sizzle cut and several vertical cuts
    • You own the deliverables

    Watch out for

    • Reel package is $3,500, and $6,000 if you need filming too
    • 4 to 6 weeks to delivery
    • One-person shop
  4. Best for: Speakers who want a specialist with a named storytelling method

Pricing: Not published (checked October 21, 2026)

Outspeak is another speaker-only studio with a strong reputation in the NSA community and a "Hook and Book Formula". Like Speaker's Cut, it does not publish a price, and its stated timeline runs to about 2 months for the final.

    What works

    • Clear storytelling method (their "Hook and Book Formula")
    • Visible in the National Speakers Association community (sponsored NSA webinars in 2026)
    • Offers keynote recaps and social content alongside reels

    Watch out for

    • Price is not published, so you need a call to compare
    • Timeline to final can run about 2 months
    • No done-for-you cold outreach campaign published
  5. Best for: Speakers who want staged production and long-form reels

Pricing: Not published (checked October 21, 2026)

Cicospace, in Scottsdale, Arizona, is the closest match to Speaker's Cut's "Simulated Stages": it offers simulated stages and production theaters as well as keynote filming. No published price. Its example reels run roughly 4 to 6.5 minutes.

    What works

    • Keynote-only specialization
    • Full production, including staged filming when you have no footage
    • Long-form reels (their examples run roughly 4 to 6.5 minutes)

    Watch out for

    • No published pricing
    • Built around filming, which adds cost if you already have footage
    • Some planners are wary of staged audiences; ask how footage is labelled
  6. Best for: Speakers in Texas who want a filmed package with published tiers

Pricing: Speaker Starter $2,500 (one 2 to 3 minute reel, single event recording); Speaker Pro $5,500; Thought Leader $12,500 (checked October 21, 2026)

Bondars Video is an Austin production company with speaker packages: $2,500 for a 2 to 3 minute reel from one filmed event (2 week delivery), up to $12,500 for a multi-video Thought Leader package. It is a general production company rather than speaker-only.

    What works

    • Clear published tiers
    • Fast for a filmed package
    • Multi-camera options on higher tiers

    Watch out for

    • Packages are built around filming an event, so you need one scheduled
    • General production company rather than speaker-only
    • No speaker client list on the page

Why people look for a Speaker's Cut alternative

Credit first: Speaker's Cut has a long track record (it cites 15 years and thousands of speakers), and it is one of the few studios that can edit your footage, film a keynote on site, or stage a shoot for you. Its testimonials include Henna Pryor, Pierre Quinn and Hiro Iwamoto. Its budget-flexible approach ("You set the budget, and we'll handle the rest!") suits speakers who would rather talk it through.

Why speakers keep shopping:

No published price or turnaround

You cannot compare Speaker's Cut on price or speed without a call. If you want a number first, use our speaker reel cost guide, which lists every published price we could find.

The footage bar

Its FAQ asks for at least one professionally recorded keynote with good audio. Many working speakers do not have that yet. If yours is a phone recording, a webinar or a podcast, read how to make a speaker reel without professional footage. We take whatever you have and tell you honestly what we can build with it, and if it is not enough we send a shot list for your next talk.

Staged footage

Simulated stages can look great, but some planners are wary of staged audiences. If you go that route, ask how the footage is labelled. Our guide on how event planners evaluate speaker reels explains what they look for.

Booking help

No outreach or booking service is published on its site. If you want both a reel and a pipeline, see our booking outreach service.

How to switch

  1. 01

    Gather your footage

Collect every keynote recording, event clip, interview and testimonial you have, including anything you already sent Speaker's Cut. Raw files beat compressed uploads.

  2. 02

Get two or three quotes on the same brief

Send each studio the same footage list and the same goal (for example, a 2 to 3 minute reel for corporate planners). Compare price, length, revisions and turnaround, not just the headline number.

  3. 03

    Watch full reels, not thumbnails

Ask for complete reels from speakers in a topic close to yours. Watch the first ten seconds with the sound off, the way many planners do.

Questions people ask

What is the best alternative to Speaker's Cut?

If you have footage and want a published price, Hop On Stages ($3,000 flat, 2 to 3 weeks). For the fastest published turnaround, Speaker Sizzle Reel. For filming at a published price, Motivational Media.

How much does Speaker's Cut cost?

It does not publish prices. Its FAQ says, "You set the budget, and we'll handle the rest!" Published specialist prices elsewhere run from $1,500 to $6,000.

Do I need professional footage for a speaker reel?

Not always. Speaker's Cut asks for at least one professionally recorded keynote. Many editors, including us, work from mixed sources. See making a reel without professional footage.

Are simulated stage reels a problem?

They are not a problem in themselves, but planners want proof of real audiences. If a reel uses a staged audience, be transparent about it. Real event footage is the stronger proof.
