Speaker reel production for keynote speakers

How it works

  1. 01

    Send us your footage

Keynote recordings, event clips, interviews, podcast video, testimonials. Within 24 hours we tell you what we can build with it. No footage? We send a shot list for your next talk.

  2. 02

    We cut the reel

Our editors find the moments that make a planner lean in and build a story around them, then finish it with sound design, color and motion graphics.

  3. 03

    You review and approve

Two rounds of revisions are included. When you approve, you pay the second half and receive the final files plus your vertical cut.

What makes a speaker reel work

A speaker reel has one job: get an event planner to put you on a shortlist. Planners and bureau agents watch dozens of them, often with the sound off for the first few seconds, and they are looking for proof of three things: that you can hold a real room, that your message fits their audience, and that you are low risk to book.

So we build every reel around evidence, not just highlights:

  • A hook in the first seconds. A line from your talk that states the problem your audience has.
  • Third-party credibility. Event hosts introducing you, logos you have spoken for, audience members reacting.
  • Your message in your words. Two or three ideas that make your keynote distinct.
  • Real audiences. Laughter, applause, people taking notes. Planners trust a real crowd more than any title card.
  • A clear close. Your name, your topics and where to book you.

Who this is for

  • Professional keynote speakers whose current reel is old, slow, or a montage of applause with no story
  • Authors, executives, coaches and consultants who speak and have recordings of at least one talk
  • Speakers preparing to approach bureaus, which typically expect a strong demo reel before they will consider you

Filming, and what we do not do

Most reels need no filming at all: we edit the footage you already have, and that is what the flat $3,000 covers. If you need new footage, we can film it ourselves or contract a crew local to you, and book a venue if you need one. Filming is custom and quoted separately, because it depends on location, crew and venue. You can also hire your own videographer and send us the files. See how to make a speaker reel without professional footage. We also never guarantee bookings. A reel makes you easier to book; it does not replace demand.

How we compare on price

Published prices for speaker reels range from about $1,500 for a 60 to 90 second edit to $12,500 or more for filmed multi-video packages. For a full breakdown with sources, see how much a speaker reel costs and our roundup of speaker reel companies.

“They produced an amazing speaker reel for me in about 3 to 4 weeks. If you don't have a good sizzle reel, hire these guys.”

Questions people ask

How much does a Hop On Stages speaker reel cost?

$3,000 flat per reel, paid 50% to begin, 50% on completion. That includes sound design, color, motion graphics, a vertical social cut and two rounds of revisions.

How long does it take?

Most reels are delivered in 2 to 3 weeks after we receive your footage. We limit how many speakers we take each month so projects do not sit in a queue.

What footage do you need?

At least one recorded talk with clear audio is ideal. More events, audience shots, introductions and testimonials give us more to work with. Phone footage from the back of the room can work for supporting shots but not as the main source.

Do you film keynotes?

Yes, when you need it. We can film you ourselves or contract a local crew in your area, and book a venue if you need one. Filming is custom and quoted separately; the flat $3,000 reel price covers editing footage you already have.

Do you also help me get booked?

Yes, as a separate service. Our booking outreach program pitches you to event organizers by cold email, leading with your reel. It is priced separately from the reel.
