Outspeak vs Hop On Stages

Outspeak and Hop On Stages are both post-production studios that work only with speakers, and both build reels around story rather than a montage of applause. The practical differences are whether you can see the price before a call, how long the process takes, whether you need filming, and what kind of help you want after the reel is finished.

What actually matters

Knowing the price before the call

Outspeak does not publish pricing. That is common among speaker studios (Speaker's Cut, Cicospace and SPKR Studio do the same), and it does not mean the price is high or low. It does mean you cannot compare it until you have had a sales conversation. Hop On Stages charges one flat $3,000 per reel, 50% to begin, 50% on completion, whatever the length. If you are collecting quotes, ask Outspeak three things: what the price includes, how many revision rounds you get, and whether vertical social cuts cost extra. Then you can compare like for like. Our speaker reel cost guide lists every published price we could find.

Time to a finished reel

Outspeak's own site says the first review typically arrives within 19 days and the final within about 2 months. That is a careful, staged process, and some speakers like having time to react between rounds. Our turnaround is 2 to 3 weeks from the day we receive footage, and two rounds of revisions are included. Doug Noll described his experience this way: "They produced an amazing speaker reel for me in about 3 to 4 weeks." If you have a bureau submission, a conference application or a rebrand launch on a date, ask any studio for its timeline in writing.

Filming or editing

Both studios can get new footage made. Outspeak says filming is available through teams around the country. Hop On Stages can film you ourselves or contract a crew local to you, and book a venue if needed; that is custom and quoted separately from the flat $3,000 edit. Most speakers do not need it: we usually edit from footage you already have, such as keynote recordings, event clips, interviews and podcast video. If you would rather use your own videographer, we send a shot list so your next talk captures what we need. See how to film your keynote for what to ask the venue for.

What happens after the reel

Outspeak includes launch strategy and offers recaps and social content, which keeps your channels active. Hop On Stages goes a different direction: a separate booking outreach program that cold emails event organizers, associations and bureaus, with the reel doing the selling in every pitch. Keith Ferrazzi's campaigns produced, in his words, "somewhere close to 81 qualified leads". It is quoted separately and nobody, including us, can guarantee bookings.

What Outspeak is

Outspeak (A Spivo Inc. company) is a speaker-focused post-production studio founded by Marc Bjerring and Andre Bellerive. It builds story-based demo reels using what it calls the "Hook and Book Formula", and it also produces keynote recaps and social content. It says it has worked with hundreds of speakers, cites 100+ reviews and says clients have seen bookings rise "up to 6x" (self-reported figures). It is active in the National Speakers Association community and sponsored an NSA webinar on demo reels in March 2026. Clients named on its site include Stephen Shapiro, Dan Chuparkoff and Pegine Echevarria. It is a credible, established choice, and if its method resonates with you on a call, that matters more than any table.

Which one should you choose?

Outspeak is the better choice if

  • You want a studio with a named, structured storytelling method and NSA visibility
  • You want ongoing keynote recaps and social content from the same team
  • You need filming arranged as part of the project
  • Your deadline is months away, so a 2 month timeline is fine

Hop On Stages is the better choice if

  • You want to know the price up front: $3,000 flat, 50% to begin, 50% on completion
  • You want the finished reel in 2 to 3 weeks
  • You already have footage of real talks and do not need a crew
  • You want the same team to pitch you to event organizers after the reel is done

How much does Outspeak charge for a speaker reel?

Outspeak does not publish its prices; you need a call to get a quote. For comparison, published edit-from-footage prices run from $1,500 to $5,000 at other specialist studios. See our speaker reel cost guide.

How long does Outspeak take?

Its site says the first review is typically ready within 19 days and the final reel within about 2 months. Hop On Stages usually delivers in 2 to 3 weeks from receiving footage.

Its site says filming is available through teams around the country. Hop On Stages also films on a custom quote (ourselves or a local crew, plus a venue if needed), though most of our reels are edited from footage the speaker already has.

Does Outspeak help you get booked?

Outspeak includes launch strategy and social content, but a done-for-you cold email outreach campaign is not published on its site. Hop On Stages offers one as a separate service.
