SPKR Studio vs Hop On Stages

SPKR Studio makes cinematic speaker demo reels and films keynotes with multi-camera 4K setups. Hop On Stages mainly edits footage you already have and quotes filming separately when it is needed. SPKR Studio publishes less about itself than most studios in this category, so part of this page is a list of what to ask them.

What actually matters

Cameras vs the archive

SPKR Studio leads with filming: multi-camera 4K coverage of your keynote, shaped into a cinematic narrative. Fresh, well-lit, multi-angle footage looks great and gives an editor far more to work with than a single locked-off camera. If your existing footage is thin or dated, that is worth paying for. If you already have good recordings, a shoot adds cost without adding much. Hop On Stages edits what you have, and can arrange a custom-quoted shoot if you do not; SPKR Studio leads with filming, so it is the more natural fit when the shoot is the main thing you are buying.

What is not published

SPKR Studio's site does not list price, location or turnaround, and does not say whether it edits footage you supply. None of that is a red flag; plenty of good studios sell by conversation. It just means you need to ask. Before you sign with any studio, get these in writing:

  • The total price, and what triggers extra charges (travel, extra cuts, more footage)
  • Whether it will edit footage you already have, or only footage it films
  • How many revision rounds are included
  • Turnaround from the shoot (or from receiving footage) to final delivery
  • Whether you receive the raw camera files, and who owns the finished reel

Our side of the same list

Price: $3,000 flat, 50% to begin, 50% on completion. Footage: we edit what you send, and send a shot list if you need more. Revisions: two rounds. Turnaround: 2 to 3 weeks from receiving footage. Deliverables: one story reel, typically 2 to 5 minutes, plus a vertical cut for social. Filming: not included in the flat price; available on custom quote (we film it or book a local crew, and a venue if needed).

After the reel

SPKR Studio's site focuses on reels and filming. Hop On Stages also offers a separate booking outreach program that pitches you to event organizers with the reel in every email.

How much does SPKR Studio cost?

SPKR Studio does not publish prices. For context, published filmed packages from other studios start at $1,500 to $2,500 and run past $12,500. See the cost guide.

Does SPKR Studio edit footage I already have?

Its site does not say. Ask before you book. Editing existing footage is what Hop On Stages' flat $3,000 covers.
