What actually separates them
Hunting vs being found
The simplest way to think about it: SpeakerHUB helps you go hunting, and eSpeakers helps you get found. SpeakerHUB's paid tiers are about searching its opportunities database and sending outreach. eSpeakers is infrastructure that planners and bureaus use to search for speakers, check availability and book. Its search ranking is points-based, so completing your profile and staying active matters.
Price
Both are inexpensive by the standards of speaker marketing. SpeakerHUB starts free and tops out at $47/mo for individuals, with one-time lifetime plans at $249, $499 and $999. eSpeakers PRO is $119/month at its regular price, with a "$60 for 60 days" offer showing when we checked; basic accounts are available, including free ones through some associations. Check whether your association membership already includes an eSpeakers account before paying.
Bureaus
If you want bureaus to find you, eSpeakers is the stronger presence, because bureaus use it as working software. SpeakerHUB has an Enterprise plan ($997/mo) aimed at bureaus and agencies, but most speakers use it for the opportunities database.
Done-for-you
SpeakerHUB also runs a separate done-for-you agency whose team does outreach and pitching for you. Its price was not shown when we checked, and all plans carry a 3-month commitment. eSpeakers does not publish a done-for-you outreach service.
The work is still yours
Neither platform makes you more bookable on its own. SpeakerHUB needs you to pitch; eSpeakers needs a planner to be searching. In both cases, the planner decides by watching your video.
Which one should you choose?
Choose SpeakerHUB if
- You want to search for opportunities and pitch them yourself
- You want the lowest monthly cost, or a one-time lifetime plan
- You want a big database of conferences and calls for speakers
- You may want its done-for-you agency later
Choose eSpeakers if
- You want bureaus and planners to find you
- You need calendar and availability tools bureaus already use
- Your association gives you a basic account
- Your inbound demand is already decent
The gap neither one fills
Both platforms leave two jobs undone: the pitching and the reel.
On SpeakerHUB you do the pitching yourself (unless you use its agency), and on eSpeakers you wait to be found. If what you actually lack is conversations with the people who book speakers, Hop On Stages runs done-for-you cold email outreach: we research events that fit your topic and fee, find the decision-maker, write a personal pitch and send it, then pass interested replies to you. It is quoted separately and takes no commission. Keith Ferrazzi's campaigns produced, in his words, "somewhere close to 81 qualified leads".
Neither platform makes reels, and every profile and pitch leads to your video. We edit speaker reels from footage you already have for $3,000 flat.
To be fair about our side: outreach costs more than a $19 or $119 subscription, because people do the work, and we do not guarantee bookings. Plenty of speakers keep a SpeakerHUB or eSpeakers profile and add outreach on top. See Hop On Stages vs SpeakerHUB and Hop On Stages vs eSpeakers.
